In every part of the world, in cities and towns and villages where one might not expect it, men, women and young people are taking a stand for the Lord Jesus.  They are sharing their faith and letting the light of faith in Christ shine.

Some of these believers walk the streets and neighborhoods of their area, sharing Christ with everyone they meet.  Others go door to door, offering free Bibles and New Testaments, telling people about the wonderful news of Jesus Christ.  And others share their faith with friends and family, over a cup of coffee, or after a game at school, or in the office during lunch breaks.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting such witnesses all over the United States, down into Old Mexico, and up in Canada.  I’ve received letters from still others in lands all over the globe.  I thank God for every human being who takes a stand for Jesus Christ.  Why?  Because only Jesus has the power to truly transform human lives.  Only Jesus can rescue a lost soul from the brink of hell itself, turning that life around and setting that person on a new path of righteousness, meaning and wholeness.

Wherever you are, whoever you are in your community, let your light shine.  Not everyone will appreciate the testimony of your life in Christ.  Some will get angry.  Others will be jealous. But everyone will benefit from the truth of God that you share.  Even when almost no one fully receives the Gospel, it still has a life-changing impact on everyone it touches.

You may not be gifted with public speaking or very good at talking to strangers.  But every soul who knows the Lord can and will be a witness as they allow the Spirit of God to guide and use them.  Share your walk with Jesus in whatever ways the Lord enables you to share.  Be a light.  Be a genuine friend and a caring part of the community.  Be a useful instrument of righteousness in the hands of the Lord.
