It is human to make assumptions about things we know little or nothing about.  Everyone does it.  And we act on those assumptions every day.

Lots of folks hate religion, for example, and so they assume that there is no truth to any of the claims Jesus made about Himself.  That’s understandable.  There are lots of religions that have little or nothing to offer, and lots of religious people that are not pleasant to know.

But Jesus Christ is not about religion.  He is about real life.  In fact, no one hated Him more than the religious traditionalists of the day.  Religious leaders hated Jesus so much that they conspired to have Him murdered.  It was easy enough to do in those days, since Rome was actively killing anyone who opposed Caesar.  It seemed like the perfect crime.

Religious leaders abducted Jesus in the middle of the night, mocked and beat Him until the morning hours, and then set Him up to be executed by Rome for crimes He never committed.  The Roman official figured the charges were trumped up but did little to avoid putting an innocent man to death.  Such is politics and religion when the two get mixed together.

Jesus did not say many good things about religion.  he often exposed hypocrisy among religious leaders.  Jesus talked about real life and about the true and living God.  For this He was hated and eventually crucified.

The same sort of thing goes on today.  People who claim to know Jesus are often only interested in religion, politics, or both.  But there are still real followers of the real Jesus Christ.  And there is a real book that tells the real story: the Bible.

Lots of people claim to believe the Bible, but very few give it an honest read, and fewer still spend much time getting to really know and understand what the Bible has to say.  You can find one just about anywhere, including many free editions on the Internet.  In the pages of the New Testament, you will find the unadulterated truth about Jesus Christ.

And you can even find some churches that proclaim the real Jesus.

The real Jesus Christ is the one and only real Answer for the needs of human beings today.  Get to know Him.  Pray, and ask the Lord God of heaven and earth to direct you in your search for real answers.  Ask Him to help you discover the real Jesus Christ.  You will find the answers you’ve been hoping for.
